Dina Travels… Cameron Highlands, Malaysia

One of the best parts of travelling for me is talking to other travellers and hearing their stories. I always keep my notebook ready to take in their advice on hostels and places. The Cameron Highlands were recommended to me by a guy I met in Bangkok. I only had 2 weeks in Malaysia, but I managed to fit in a 2 day visit to this lovely part of Malaysia!

Cook Book Wishlist

As some of you might know, I recently moved into my new flat! After living out of a backpack for nearly a year, I much appreciate having a space I can call my own and a proper kitchen! Healthy cook books are all over the place at the moment and I treated myself to a fancy cookbook from Deliciously Ella for my move! I love it to bits and have since discovered a passion for cookbooks! Today I’m sharing those that are currently waiting on my Amazon Wishlist!

1. Oh She Glows

Although I’m not vegan, I try to eat mostly plant based and rarely have meat. I hate touching meat, so I basically only eat it when I’m out! Apart from recipes, this book also has a section that explains vegan ingredients and the personal health journey of the author that sounds interesting!

2. Salad Samurai: 100 Cutting-Edge, Ultra-Hearty, Easy-to-Make Salads You Don’t Have to Be Vegan to Love

If I don’t know what to make for lunch or dinner, I always end up making a salad. I’m not very experimental when it comes to salads though and would love to bring more diversity to them and this book looks just right for that!

3. A Modern Way to Eat

If anyone else has recently watched the videos of Vivianna does Makeup, you will know why this book is in this wishlist! She made some fab Salted Caramel Brownies from this book recently and ever since that video I am dreaming of what other goodness might be hidden in this book!

4. Fresh India: 130 Quick, Easy and Delicious Recipes for Every Day

Ever since my trip to India, I am in love with Indian food! I’ve never made it myself but this book seems like a good start!

5. Green Kitchen Travels: Healthy vegetarian food inspired by our adventures

This one came up in my recommended reads list on Amazon and after reading the first pages, I was completely taken by it! The travel stories of a couple told with mouth-watering recipes inbetween sounds like just the right book for my travel addiction and recent discovery of kitchen things!

Now, what are your favourite cookbooks? Which one’s do you use daily and which one’s inspire you most? Let me know in the comments below!

Summer Blogging Break

Download

As you might have noticed, it’s become a bit quiet on my blog over the weekend. When I was job-hunting, I had plenty of time to plan ahead and put a lot of time and effort into my blog, however, since I started my new job 6 weeks ago and moving 3 times in 2 months, I find myself quite stressed recently.

I tried to keep this blog running as good as I can, but I’ve reached the point where I need to take a break. I still have to move one more time into my dream apartment and I’d rather spend my summer evenings with friends by the river than sitting at home with my computer.

Don’t worry, it’s not going to be a long break, I am hoping to be back with some fresh content mid-September. There are a few exciting products I am testing at the moment!

I hope you all have a lovely summer and see you soon!

xx Dina
